TECHNICAL INFORMATION & PROFESSIONAL GEAR REVIEWS
What I think of some of the production gear we use, some tips - and lots of other stuff that doesn’t seem to fit in the main area of the site! These pages typically get many 100s of views per month from video professionals etc. all over the place and so are provided as a useful resource.
Please respect that I’m running a busy video production business and that I rarely have time to answer technical enquiries that you might have about our gear on an individual basis.
SONY XDCAM PMW-EX3 MINI REVIEW - I wrote this hands-on review to give keen video professionals an objective comparison of the EX3 with its smaller EX1(r) sibling, outlining the strengths and weaknesses of each of these professional HD cams as I see them. Three and a half years, on the EX3 is still a class leading camera. Although there are now some good alternatives its STILL the best tool for my busy corporate videography company, especially when supplemented by the other four HD cameras and lenses I now have.
